Ospitek, Inc. ("Ospitek," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of information accessed through the Ospitek Physician App ("App").

The App provides authorized physicians with real-time visibility into surgical schedules, patient progression, operating room status, and operational notifications at participating healthcare facilities.

The App is intended exclusively for professional use by authorized physicians at healthcare facilities utilizing the Ospitek platform.

2. Information we process

The App provides access to information maintained within the Ospitek platform, which may include:

Physician names and login account information.
Surgical schedules and physician case assignments.
Patient names and identifiers associated with scheduled procedures.
Patient workflow statuses, including pre-operative, operating room, recovery, and discharge.
Operational notifications, including patient arrival and readiness for physician involvement.

This information is used to support the App's intended healthcare workflow and operational functions.

3. How information is used

Information accessed through the App is used to:

Display surgical schedules and assigned cases.
Provide real-time visibility into patient progression.
Notify physicians of relevant surgical workflow events.
Facilitate coordination between physicians and healthcare facility staff.
Operate, maintain, and secure the App.

Ospitek does not sell patient or physician information or use it for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Patient Information and HIPAA

The Ospitek Physician App is available exclusively to authorized physicians at healthcare facilities operating under an executed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Ospitek.

Ospitek processes Protected Health Information (PHI) on behalf of participating healthcare facilities in accordance with applicable HIPAA requirements and contractual obligations.

Access to patient information is restricted to authorized users through the Ospitek platform.

5. Data Security

Ospitek employs administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect sensitive healthcare information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or misuse.

The App requires authorized login credentials to access information.

Patient and operational information is hosted using Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.

6. Push notifications

The App may provide physicians with notifications regarding surgical workflow events, including patient arrival in the operating room and readiness for physician involvement.

These notifications are intended to support timely coordination of care.

Notification delivery may depend on device settings, network connectivity, and the availability of notification services.

7. Information sharing

Information accessed through the App is intended for use by authorized physicians in connection with their responsibilities at participating healthcare facilities.

Ospitek does not sell or disclose patient information for advertising or marketing purposes.

Information may be processed by infrastructure and service providers supporting the App, including AWS, subject to applicable privacy, security, and contractual requirements.

Information may also be disclosed when required or permitted by applicable law, including HIPAA.

8. Data storage and retention

The Ospitek Physician App provides real-time access to patient and operational information maintained within Ospitek's AWS-hosted platform.

Patient information is displayed dynamically based on active surgical cases and is no longer displayed once those cases are no longer active.

The App does not permanently store patient information on the physician's device. Data storage and retention are managed centrally through the Ospitek platform in accordance with applicable contractual and regulatory requirements.

9. User access and privacy requests

Access to the App requires authorized login credentials for the Ospitek platform.

Physicians requiring assistance with account access, modifications, or deactivation may contact Ospitek or their healthcare facility administrator.

Requests concerning patient information should be directed to the healthcare facility responsible for the patient records.

10. Intended users

The App is designed exclusively for authorized physicians and is not intended for general public or personal consumer use.

11. Changes to this privacy policy

Ospitek may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in App functionality, operational practices, or applicable legal requirements.

Updates will be published with a revised effective date.
